Happy Halloween!

Boo! Who would be afraid of this silly mummy with purple eyes? So simple to make....just tear strips of white paper, sponge the torn edges with choc. chip, adhere to your black card base, tap a black ink pad over the front to make it look dirty then tuck in two crazy eyes.

These spider web cards are fun to make with the new Spider Web Textured Impressions Embossing Folder from the Holiday Mini catalog. The black and white web is made by DE-embossing, that is, using the back side of of the embossed white paper, then rolling a brayer of black ink across it. That way it rolls over the de-bossed impressions and covers the rest while exposing the original paper color. The bat on the orange card is made using the new owl punch and the large oval punch! Simply punch the owl out and cut off his little feet, then cut an oval in half and snip along the edges with a small round punch to make the wings.

I made these treat bags for the stampers at a workshop I have this afternoon. They are made using the Spider Web Embossing Folder as well. I first cut my paper to 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (so I could make two bags with one sheet of paper) and scored horizontally at 2", 4", 6" and 8", then turned the paper and scored at 2". I punched one section with the small oval punch, tore off the top edge, sponged it with white Stazon, then assembled. The cello bags are full of candy corn and tied with a bright yellow and orange ribbon and a "BOO" tag from the Tiny Tags stamp set punched with the Jewelry Tag punch. Yummy!
