Stamping on lampshade

Who says you can only stamp on paper?? Not me!

This little shade was originally white. But I didn't want white, so I painted it ivory.

Then I tried to stencil it, but because it's curved, it didn't work. So I painted over it, but the stencil showed through!

I added some brown paint to the ivory paint and sponged it onto the shade, and really liked the effect. It's hard to see here, but it looks like fabric.

Of course I couldn't leave it alone, so I got out my Mountain Air stamp set and stamped the single tree around it with Mossy Meadow ink.

To finish it, I glued the new faux suede ribbon around the top and bottom.

Love it!
