Jar of Flowers Sympathy Card

Another card that is sometimes hard to make, but important to have on hand, is a sympathy card. The next few posts will be sympathy and thinking of you cards designed to make sure you have them available when you need them.

You can make such pretty cards with the Jar of Flowers stamp set and punch. Simple coloring, a little twine and a thoughtful message combine to make a perfect card for any occasion.

 What you will need:

  • Soft Succulent 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Basic White 4" x 5 1/4" and 3 3/4" x 5"
  • Basic White scraps
  • Linen Thread
  • Brushed Brass Butterlies
  • Soft Suede, Memento Black and Pool Party Ink

  • Light and Dark Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends
  • Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends

  • Adhere Soft Succulent panel to card front.
  • With Black Memento ink, stamp flowers onto 3 3/4" x 5" Basic White panel a little to the left of center, close to the top.
  • Color flowers with Light Calypso Coral, leaves with Light and Dark Soft Succulent and stems with Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends.
  • Adhere layer on top of Soft Succulent panel.

  • On another Basic White scrap, stamp flowers again and color just the two bottom flowers.
  • Cut flowers out and adhere with dimensionals over flowers on card.
  • With Soft Suede ink, stamp verse onto Basic White scrap.
  • Cut out using 1" x 2 1/2" stitched rectangle die and adhere to card.
  • Adhere butterflies around flowers.
  • Adhere 4" x 5 1/4" Basic White layer to inside.
