SSINK Blog Hop, Spring Fever

Boy, do I have spring fever! This winter just will not quit.  We had a foot of snow last week, 10 inches on April 1 (no joke!) and the temps are still cold enough so it's not melting.  So I can't wait until spring!

We don't have any green grass or buds on the trees yet, but we do have some brave little birds thinking it's time to come east.  So my spring fever card is a tribute to birds.

I started with a Soft Suede cardbase, then added a layer of Soft Sky.  All the stamping is done in Tuxedo Black Memento using Best Birds stamp set and cut using the dies from the Birds & Blooms framelits.

The cute little birds are colored using a variety of inks and a blender pen.  I stamped the limbs onto Crumb Cake then colored with Crumb Cake and Wild Wasabi.  The background is stamped in Crumb Cake.
