Masculine cards can be a challenge, but this retiring stamp set, "In the Meadow" is perfect for them. I love the momma deer and her baby, especially since we've been watching a dozen or more deer come down by our house all spring to go to the river. Springtime in Maine...."the way life should be".
I wanted to do something a little different with this project, so I decided to use the "Faux Silk" technique for the top layer. To do this, you stamp your image on tissue paper, color it if necessary, then crinkle it up into a ball (make sure it's totally dry first, it can smudge if it's not). Spread adhesive over your neutral cardstock - glue stick works best. Unwrap the tissue paper and spread over adhesive. It's a very soft, antiqueish look.
The other design team members have great masculine cards too. Check them out at our SSINK blog, and remember to leave your comment.
