SAB Cards and Envelopes

One of my favorite products in the SAB catalog is the Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes. This is free with a $50 purchase, and includes 20 card bases and 20 envelopes. Wow!

The Soft Sea Foam base is pretty with the big circle from the Watercolor Shapes stamp set stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink.

I then stamped flowers from the Dragonfly Garden set and colored those with various Stampin' Blends. The verse is a new set in the July-Dec Mini catalog called Very Best Occasions  and the inside verse says With Comfort and Love.

The three Black Matte Dots along the bottom add a nice touch.

See how nicely the envelopes coordinate with the cardbases - this is such a deal! I like to get these sets whenever Stampin' Up! has them. I used the Tea Boutique cards & envelopes earlier this spring, and will be using Santa Express Memory and more cards & envelopes in our Christmas Stamp Camp (spoiler alert!).

The second card I made with the Pool Party base is one of my favorites (aren't they all?).

It's a bit monochromatic and really very simple. The Basic White layer that sits on the Pool Party layer is cut out with a die from the Blossoming Happiness dies. This die is unique because not all the little pieces come out, so don't spend a lot of time trying to force them out like I did the first time! The edges are then cut with one of the strip dies.

The flowers are stamped with Memento Black ink and one is colored with a light Pool Party Stampin' Blend and the other with a dark Pool Party Stampin' Blend - no blending, simply color. The leaves are stamped with Memento black and colored with Dark Soft Succulent.   All cut out with more Blossoming Happiness dies then adhered to the white layer. The label is stamped in black with the "friend" stamp from Happiness Abounds and tucked under the flower that is popped up.

So if you haven't gotten any of these great card and envelope sets, do it! They are typically 20 envelopes and 20 card bases for $10-$12.00!  You won't be disappointed.
