I couldn't wait to make a snow globe shaker card using the Still Scenes stamp set and Snow Globe Scenes dies from the holiday catalog. And I will eventually. But for my big Christmas Stamp Camp I designed a simpler snow globe card.
I will admit, I saw similar card on Pinterest that inspired this card. What would we do without Pinterest!!!
I started with a Thick Whisper White cardbase, then added a Balmy Blue layer. On top of that I adhered a Vellum layer that I had run through the Stylish Scroll embossing folder, which is such a pretty, soft effect. On the bottom of that, I adhered a piece of Whisper White that I heat embossed the verse with Silver Embossing powder and lined with a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper.
For the globe I simply cut out Whisper White then sponged the edge with Balmy Blue ink which gave it a little dimension. I had intended on stamping the scene in black then coloring it. But after a few failed attempts I decided to keep it simple and stamp with Versamark and Silver Embossing powder, and I love the results!
The base is simple too....Balmy Blue with Silver Foil.
Sometimes simple is best!
