I designed the sampler around this card we made using the Free Skate stamp set. The soft Crumb Cake layer sprinkled with sparkly snowflakes makes a really pretty base for the hanging skates.
I wanted to keep the colors pretty simple. Each panel starts with a Night of Navy base and Whisper White layer. Two panels have another layer of Balmy Blue and the other two have a layer of Crumb Cake. After all panels were placed on the 12" x 12" snowflake paper (not SU...sorry!), I cut snowflakes from Sparkle Glimmer paper and scattered them around.
The difference with the panel I made for the sampler is the solid Mint Macaron holly leaves and red rhinestone berries.
The other large panel has similar colors with a Mint Macaron tree with smaller red rhinestones. The silver foil deer stands on Sparkle Glimmer paper.
All the words and verses in the sampler are either Silver Glimmer Paper or embossed with silver embossing powder.
This stamp is from a retired Christmas set, but has always been one of my favorite stamps. It's embossed with silver embossing powder on a strip of Whisper White.
Warmest Winter Wishes is from the Free Skate stamp set and is heat embossed with silver embossing powder on Balmy Blue cardstock then cut out with the label die from the Smooth Sailing dies.
The church and trees in this panel are part of the Snow Globe Scenes dies. The silver glimmer and silver foil trees make a pretty backdrop for the Whisper White church sitting on Sparkle Glimmer paper. The word "Peace" is made with silver foil paper.
Now onto the spring sampler!
