I've been having fun creating beautiful cards using the new Love & Happiness Bundle that features an awesome new embossing folder that embosses AND cuts at the same time.
Here, I used Stampin' Blends to color the flowers in the white heart, then popped it back up in the center using Dimensionals.
I like the soft colors of this card: Sea Foam Green, So Saffron, Petal Pink and Pool Party.
Use a light touch when coloring with the Stampin' Blends so the ink stays on top of the raised images.
I also used a Sea Foam Green Stampin' Blend to color the white satin ribbon.
Red, Black and White is one of my favorite color combinations. Here I used Real Red, Basic Black and Basic White, then mixed it up a little with Flirty Flamingo flowers and Pear Pizzazz leaves.
The center of the heart is a piece of Basic White that I ran through the folder then cut to fit behind the open heart.
Notice the two colors in the verse? I did that by coloring part of the verse with a Basic Black marker, not a Stampin' Blend, and the other with a Real Red marker. "Huff" on it to keep it moist, then stamp onto Basic White paper.
This might be my favorite because it is full of surprises.
The base is Pale Papaya, a color that I rarely use. And the ink is Soft Suede, a color that I use a lot!
Look at the centers of the flowers. They're Metallic Gold Pearls!
The verse is from Blessings of Home, another new stamp set from the Jan-June mini catalog.
Now look closely at the paper - it's DSP from the In-Color 6x6 pack!
But one more thing....after I ran the DSP through the folder, I used a manicure sanding block and sanded off the top of the flowers to reveal the white in the center of the paper! The core of most Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper is white. Who knew!
