I recently designed two groups of cards that can be a little hard to make: masculine birthday cards and sympathy cards. At some point, we all need to send both kinds, and sometimes it can be a little stressful. So I have taken all the stress and guess work out of coming up with these cards for you.
The first card I made was this easy, scenic birthday card perfect for any man in our lives. For this card, you will need:
- Cardbase: Thick Very Vanilla
- Mossy Meadow, 3 1/2" x 4 1/2"
- Very Vanilla, 3 1/4" x 4 1/4".
- Soft Suede and Very Vanilla scraps.
- Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede ink.
- Stamp sets: Snow Front (retired), Art Gallery
- Layering Circle Dies
- Using Mossy Meadow ink, stamp tree onto center of Very Vanilla layer, then without picking up more ink, stamp tree again next to it to get a lighter shade of green. Do this several times all the way across the panel.
- Stamp grass line in Mossy Meadow under trees from edge to edge.
- Adhere stamped panel to Mossy Meadow panel, then onto cardfront.
- Stamp deer with Soft Suede and grass with Mossy Meadow on Vanilla scrap.
- Use scallop circle die to cut out deer and circle die to cut out Soft Suede circle.
- Adhere scallop circle to Soft Suede circle.
- Place circles onto tree layer, line up grass line, then adhere with dimensional.
- Using Soft Suede ink and the Happy Birthday verse from the Art Gallery stamp set, stamp verse under trees.
- Enjoy!
