Tree Punch Sympathy Card

Sometimes less is more, which is true in this next sympathy card. The only ink used in this card is in the label. The rest of the card is simply punched and embossed.

The colors I used for this sympathy card are a little bolder than I normally would use. But I really like the contrast and texture from the embossing folders.

Supplies needed:
  • Soft Suede cardbase
  • Balmy Blue 4" x 4"
  • Mossy Meadow 4" x 2 3/4" and 4" x 1 1/2"
  • Crushed Curry scrap
  • Very Vanilla 4" x 5 1/4" and scrap
  • Soft Suede Ink
  • Stylish Shapes oval die
  • Into The Clouds Embossing Folder
  • Timeworn Type Embossing Folder
  • Evergreen Border Punch
  • 1 3/8" circle punch or die
  • Something Fancy stamp set

  • Run Balmy Blue piece through Into the Clouds Embossing Folder and adhere to top of card front.
  • Run Mossy Meadow through Timeworn Type Embossing Folder and adhere to bottom of card front.
  • Punch out a line of trees with the 4" x 1 1/2" strip of Mossy Meadow and Evergreen Border Punch.
  • Punch or die cut Crushed Curry sun.
  • Place trees along top of Mossy Meadow layer and tuck sun behind them. Adhere into place.
  • Stamp verse onto Very Vanilla scrap with Soft Suede ink.
  • Cut out with stitched oval die and adhere to Mossy Meadow layer using dimensionals.
  • Adhere 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla panel to inside of card.
