Forgotten Dies - COUNTRYSIDE CORNERS

How did we forget the Countryside Corner dies?

We used the Countryside Corners Bundle that included the stamp set and the pretty DSP when it first came out last spring to make this card.

But then the dies got lost in the drawer with the other forgotten dies.

Until now!

You don't have to use the Countryside Corners stamp set with the dies to make pretty cards.

I used three different sizes of dies to make this birthday card.

Looks pretty simple, right?

Until you open it.....

and discover it's a gatefold card!

I wish I could take credit for designing this, but I found this great video by Elaine's Creations on YouTube that explained how to do it. But I did change up the embellishments, DSP and colors to make it my own!

The oval verse and punch from the Filled with Happiness stamp set works well with the different sizes of the Countryside Corners dies.

I made a stencil with one of the dies, then used Lemon Lolly ink and a blending brush to color the center of the inside of the card.

Getting the outside openings to line up correctly was a bit tricky, but worth it.

The oval and bird are adhered with dimensionals so they pop up through the front opening.

This card is similar to a card I saw made by Micheele Last on the Facebook page, Stampin' Through the Catalog. Stampin' Through the Catalog is run by three SU demonstrators who post projects featuring each set from the current catalogs!  Check it out sometime.
