Black and White, Just Right!

You can't go wrong with black and white backgrounds and a pop of color. And the True Love Designer Series Paper makes it so easy.

If you like to color, this DSP is for you. The floral images are beautiful by themselves, but add color, and WHAM!

The flowers in this simple card are colored with Balmy Blue Stampin' Blends. The leaves are light and dark Old Olive, plus a little Daffodil Delight.

All these cards use retired stamps (sorry), but I wanted to make sympathy/thinking of you/get well cards, and my current stamps just didn't work.

Look at that those red flowers! They really pop on top of those pretty black and white layers.

I colored the flowers with light and dark Real Red Stampin' Blends, then cut them out. The large flowers in this paper is very easy to cut out. If you can't cut really close to the black line, or don't like to see white edges, just color the edges so it all blends in!

This big cluster of flowers is colored with light and dark Flirty Flamingo. Some of the images in this DSP run off the edge of the paper, but go with it like I did here.

You don't have to color all the flowers the same. This bouquet is so pretty in Highland Heather, Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron and Calypso Coral.

For me, the key to these type of cards is to keep them simple. Simple design, simple colors, simple words. KISS - Keep It Simple Sistah!
