Dancing Gnomes

Do your gnomes dance? Mine do!

At first glance, this cute little gnome is just sitting quietly in the middle of this card.

But tilt the card and his feet move!

Once again I used some retired DSP to go with current colors.

Paper used: Starry Sky, Basic White, Basic Black, Petal Pink, Old Olive, Starry Sky DSP.

Cardbase: 5 ½” x 4 ¼”

Inside DSP:      4” x 3”

Outside DSP:   2 ½” x 4”

Inside White: 2 ½” x 4”

Band:           3 ½” x 8 ½” Scored at 4 ¼””

Front panel: 4” x 3” scallop rectangle

2 ½” x 3 ¾” rectangle

  • Adhere plaid DSP to top of Starry Sky panel.

  • Fold Starry Sky strip at score line and adhere to bottom of panel so the fold is on the left.

  • Adhere white panel to inside and DSP panel to outside.

  • Adhere Old Olive rectangle to white scallop rectangle then onto front of blue DSP so it is evenly in the center of the card.

  • To make dancing gnome:

    • Adhere nose to beard, then hat on top.

    • Adhere feet to white “gear” under hole.

    • Place feet and gear onto Old Olive panel then put mini dimensional in center of hole. This will allow feet to swing.

    • Place mini dimensionals behind hat at tip and along bottom edge.

    • Adhere over feet so beard covers most of the legs but you see all the feet.

  • Move the card back and forth to make it dance!
