Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder Fun

 The Jan-April catalog is full of great new products. One of my favorites is the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder because it does, well....EVERYTHING!

You stamp it, you emboss it, you cut it out....all at once!

The words on these cards are one example of what it can do.

This big die matches the 10 words in the big 3D embossing folder.

Here's how it works:

First, you ink up the left side of the embossing folder. This will create the outline of the words. The best way to do this is with a brayer. And here's a hint (I figured this out the hard way), put your stamp pad on a silicone craft mat so it's stable and you won't push it all around!

Next, you place your paper over un-inked side of the folder, and your die over the words on the inked side of the folder.

Run it through your machine, and look at what you get! Now you have all those great words to do so many projects with.

And there are so many things you can do with them.

Left alone, they look great. But color inside the lines and you get an entire different look.

Then look what happens if you run just the die through with black paper and use those solid words as a shadow!
